Two years ago, I designed the book cover for His Throne of Embers, the second book in Renee April's popular young adult Australian fantasy series, Molten Crown. I know! We were eager. Unfortunately, the publishing deities were not smiling upon us.
It's only been two years, but the world is now a vastly different place and Renee felt Her Crown of Fire's sequel needed to reflect that. (Not to mention all the plot bunnies that no doubt sieged her when she revisited the original novel for its audio drama. Oof!).
Was it worth it? Totally.

I'm now pleased to announce His Throne of Embers is officially off to the printers for its first (and hopefully only!) quality proof check. Paperback and Hardcover Design both. Dust jacket too. Based off the amazing (and honestly shocking) results I've received from the recent Ingram runs for Beasts of London and Red Masquerade, I'm cautiously crossing fingers for another score of perfection. Here's hoping!
The Molten Crown Trilogy's second entry is bigger than ever.
Steamier. Even a bit heartbreaking. (Aren't always the best books?).
